Designed
for living.
Built to last.
Jake Bauer and a hand-picked crew build kitchens, bathrooms, extensions, renovations, granny flats and outdoor rooms across the Adelaide Hills — Stirling to Lobethal, as fixed price quoted work, finished properly.
Bespoke builds, considered down to the detail.
We specialise in bespoke home renovations and extensions, for clients who can tell the difference. We don’t rush our work, and we don’t hand it off — Jake runs every site himself, with tradespeople we’ve worked with for years. We take the utmost care, and finish every project like it’s our own.
Featured project.

A full bathroom transformation in Lobethal — combining a separate WC and bathroom into one light-filled room, with a Kit Kat tile feature wall, brass tapware, a faux skylight and the structural work to make it all sit cleanly.
Read the case studyWhat we build.

Outdoor rooms built to shelter, extend and last. Spotted gum, Merbau and steel, picked for Hills weather.

Kitchens built around how you actually cook. Custom joinery, stone benchtops, storage where you would reach for it.

Bathrooms built properly under the tiles, not just over them.

Whole-home reworks that rebalance dated layouts without tearing the character out.

Second dwellings built to the same standard as the main house.

New square metres that look like they belonged to the house all along.
How we run a build.
A bespoke build lives or dies in the planning. Here’s how we run projects from the first site visit through to the final walkthrough — deliberately, without surprises.
A no-cost first meet on your property. We walk the site, ask a lot of questions, and either go home or keep talking.
We collaborate with your architect (or one of ours) through schematic and detailed design. Transparent, line-by-line pricing.
A fixed price quoted work contract on HIA terms. A staged program your other trades can actually plan around.
Jake on site regularly. Clear written updates. A tidy, protected site. We work with disciplined tradespeople who we trust.
A full defects walkthrough, a maintenance schedule, and the statutory builder’s warranty on all structural work.

…we have found Jake’s work to be of exceptional quality.
Before you get in touch.
If there’s something we haven’t covered, the quickest way is usually a short phone call.
Ask a questionDo you take on projects outside the Adelaide Hills?
Yes. The Hills are home ground — the trades we work with, the councils we know, the sites we understand — and we bring the same crew and the same standard to projects beyond them, including the Fleurieu and Adelaide’s eastern suburbs. Tell us where yours is and we’ll be straight with you about whether we’re the right builder for it.
What’s the typical budget range?
Bathroom renovations typically start around $45k. Kitchens and extensions from $80k and $180k respectively. Granny flats and new dwellings vary widely. We’re not a budget builder — we’re best suited to clients who value careful, bespoke work.
How do you price projects?
Fully costed, line by line. After a site visit and design conversation we provide a transparent quote — no padded allowances. Variations during construction are priced in advance and signed off before work starts.
How is the project managed?
Jake runs every project personally — on site regularly, with clear written updates. You’ll have a single point of contact and a shared project folder with plans, pricing and photos.
Can you work with our architect or designer?
Yes — we collaborate with architects and designers regularly. If you’re still early, we’re happy to recommend people we’ve had good runs with across the Hills.
