What is different about building in Woodside?
Room, and wind. Woodside blocks are typically generous enough to build wide rather than up, but there is often nothing to screen the prevailing weather. Orientation and shelter do a lot of work in how comfortable the finished space actually is.
Is Woodside good for a granny flat?
It is among the better parts of the Hills for one. The blocks generally carry the setbacks, and there is usually space to give a secondary dwelling its own approach and outlook rather than parking it behind the house.
